Secrets of Strixhaven

(2026)

Secrets of Strixhaven is the upcoming return to the plane of Arcavios. I worked with the Creative Text and Worldbuilding teams to help generate card names and flavor text in an effort to flesh out the world, expand the game’s story, and create memorable game pieces for this highly anticipated return to a fan-favorite setting.

Beyond the set’s name, very little has been shared with the public yet. Check back soon for more info!

Who’s A Good Boy?(2025)

In June of 2025, I launched the crowdfunding campaign for my first game: Who’s A Good Boy? The Game Where Dogs Can Sin. In Who’s A Good Boy, players select a dog character and use sins and good deeds to bid on trait cards, figuring out whose dog is truly the goodest boy.

I co-created the game with my wife, animator and storyboard artist Julia Glassman (Rick & Morty, Solar Opposites, Adam Ruins Everything). With her art and my words Who’s A Good Boy made an immediate splash. The game was fully funded in less than two days with zero paid marketing and is currently eyeing a delivery window in early 2026.

Secret Lair: NOT A WOLF

Shortly after the release of I Am Not A Wolf, I was approached by Wizards of the Coast about creating a special set of cards for their ongoing Secret Lair series. These product drops take existing Magic: The Gathering cards and pair them with new art, creating a limited edition physical product for die hard fans of both the game and the creators they collaborate with.

For my drop, I was able to curate which cards we selected and which artists we worked with. In addition to that, I wrote art briefs and creative text for each card while also planning and executing a marketing campaign for the project.

The drop went live on June 24th, 2024 and sold out just two days into its three week availability window.

Aetherdrift (2025)

Aetherdrift was a Magic: The Gathering set released in February of 2025. The set followed a high-octane race between three different worlds. Alongside the rest of the Creative Text team, I generated hundreds of ideas for card names as well as flavor text to help tell this sprawling story.

Aetherdrift had a more playful and humorous tone than the average Magic set but also left a lot of room for narrative worldbuilding as we introduced ten teams of racers, many of whom were from completely new worlds. Working on a Creative Text team is deeply collaborative and there are too many cards to spotlight everything I worked on, but a handful of cards featuring my work can be found by clicking HERE.

Outlaws of Thunder Junction (2024)

Outlaws of Thunder Junction was a Magic: The Gathering set released in April of 2024. The set marked a major tonal shift for the game as it created a Western-Inspired setting within its existing high fantasy world. I was brought in as a member of the creative text team to pitch card names and flavor text (italicized text at the bottom of individual cards used to flesh out the world and its characters.)

This was my first time working with the Creative Text team over at Wizards of the Coast and it was a real joy to get to help bring so many of Magic’s most iconic characters to an unfamiliar setting.

The set featured the end of a yearlong story arc alongside a more playful and lighthearted take on the Wild West. While the creative text teams are very collaborative, I’ve selected a handful of cards that prominently feature my work. You can peruse through them by clicking HERE.
